100% agree. Personally I feel that the 2017 is the best looking Breakout out of all the years. It was the look of the black and edge polished turbine wheels that hooked me bad. Could not stop thinking about the bike after seeing one in vivid black at the dealer, and pulled the trigger a few loooooong weeks after. No regrets.
Nothing changed on the BO except wheels, brakes, and Hipo 103. Then the 2018 came along. ugh..... But I agree, the turbine wheels are so sexy on the BO.
Just brought one home. Still in break-in miles, but I can already tell the 114 has increadible power. And the handling is amazing. Light years ahead of my '03 Softail Standard. Very nimble, even with wider tire. Side-to-side is light and smooth. No mods required to make this bike perform. I didn't like the idea of the smaller tank but in person I like it. I didn't like the idea of the digital gauge but seeing and using it I now get it. It's nice. I was tempted to buy a '16 and then '17 and then doing the standard performance and handling mods but this is a different bike and doesn't need them. HD upped their game and value. This is the modern performance I wanted for my $$. Glad I waited. Bought it just after unloading the day it arrived at the dealer. It never made it to the showroom floor. So happy. Can hardly wait for Saturday.

That's awesome. Congrats.. These 18s are really nice. I cant wait to go look at them in person tomorrow!
These 114 cost only $1500 from factory if you upgrade the 103 to 110 stage 5 like i did it cost 3x as much and i dont think Harley will honor their warranty when something goes wrong with the stage 5 - 3 of my friends are in this predicament where Harley refuses to honor their warranty because the bikes were modded !
This is why i want to get out of mine and into the 114 so Harley wont be able to jack us. The sad thing is Harley dealership were the ones that carried out the engine upgrade on my friends bikes (2 Harley Dyna Low Rider S and 1 Breakout CVO, went from 110 to 117ci) just like i got mine done at the dealership but mine went from 103 to 110ci.
again, so now you have a 110. a 114 aint gonna make much difference. and since the harley shop did the work they have to honor the warranty.. seriously, i have no idea who you're talking to and is telling you different. but it's just not the case.
