Why would the new wheels be easier to clean? Not that I want to put you off. If you still have your current bike when I get a new Breakout, I'll swap wheels if you want?

I think the seat is a bit thicker as it is apparently more comfortable. But it's only 0.4" further from the ground.

Well as I stated earlier, I have studied pictures of both the 2017 and 2018 versions of the Breakout (stock images from H-D so std. bikes) and I can not see any difference in the gap between fender and wheel. I have no idea what you're looking at but as far as I can see, it cannot be standard bikes.

I just had another look at many different photos and I'm sorry, but there is simply no difference between the rear fender clearance of the '17 and '18 bikes, as photographed for H-D's promotional material.

Of course, if you change the preload on the rear shock(s) you will change the clearance a bit but that'll be the same facility on both models.

I wonder if I can just take the handlebar clamp and incorporate it into my '15? That's about the only redeeming factor I can see in the new bike. :P

Well I just sat on the 2018 today and the tank is ugly, belongs on a Street, not a Breakout. Add to that the swingarm that no longer makes it look like a rigid, its original intention and the plastic covers in place of the horseshoe tank and the preload **** sticking out one side and you have a big fat no from me. Jessica...Those wheels? Really lol, just cause their easier to clean. What I will say is while I stood there mourning the Softail, the hipsters and the yuppies were rolling up in their Subaru's and their Beemers with their vertical striped, button down shirts and were drooling all over the joint. They even loved the new Heritage. WTF, but mission accomplished as far as the MOCO is concerned. The Fatboy did look pretty badass with a 240 out back though

I thought you were not going to buy a new one? Now you test riding them? Shame on you. LOL.
