I cut the fittings out of the factory fuel line and installed them on a longer fuel line on my RSD tank because I had the same problem.
I found out that the Dyna fuel line is almost 2 inches longer than the Softail one. It was just long enough to make it around the coil mount and to the petcock.
I wish I could find a straight quick disconnect valve rather than the HD L type valve, then I could run the line straight down and under the coil bracket, assuming I could adjust the nipple on the throttle body. The way I have it now it goes towards the rear of the bike and then twists and comes forward to connect to the nipple on the throttle body.
Do you have a photo of how you ran your fuel line?
