07 Softail Custom - I'm looking for something with excellent wind protection. Should I go with the Harley shield (if so, which one) or aftermarket? Also, who has the best prices on aftermarket with chrome lowers?

 

The HD shield is going to cost a little more, but it is a true quick-release. You can get HD stuff at around 20% off at these places:

As far as which shield, it's just a personal preference. Go online and look at them, or go to your local dealer and look at them.

 

I love my HD windshield on my standard. Yes they cost a little more but there is no hardware left on the bike when you remove it and it takes less than a second to remove. If someone has a similar set up than you might have some options.
