I also had the same problem just recently. I removed both the toe and heal shifter, pushed theshaft shifters were on out, cleaned the bushing and lubed it. It completely salved the problem! I also loweredeach shifter down on notch. Made shifting a lot more comfortable for me.

Talk about good timing for a post, you guys just saved me a trip to the dealer. My 07 FXSTC started sticking tonight at about 3500 miles. Pushed the bushings out and cleaned and lubed everything, works fine now.

Mine is doing the same thing right now, it only does it when I ride for a while on a real warm day, and stop for a few minutes. After that it sticks up and down on me for a little while until I ride it some more. Called the dealer and they said
it is a common problem, and easy fix.....now I gotta just get time and a dry day to take it up there to have them fix it!

Perfect timing! My '06 Deuce started doing it after I changed the primary fluid, and that was at 1000 miles.I believe it is alittle gummed up,but will reply after I rip it apart.Seems to be happening the most on the 2-3,3-4 shift.Made me feel like a retard to in traffic,lol.[:@]

If that doesn't fix your problem, another possibility is that you overfilled your primary case. Overfilling will cause shifting problems and difficulty finding neutral.

hello,
does anybody know if H-D is owning up to this issue? sounds like a design flaw to me.
