THANK YOU, just like Lauren, great bike, great photos, love to hear how your going as it breaks in. I have also moved recently moved on from a King, and a SG and Ultra before that. The heritage is growing on me. Thanks for taking the time to share, and looking forward to more photos as you go. Now that the back seat is off, How about bagless for one photo ? or 3 Cant wait to see what everyone does with these.
Congrats and really nice looking bike. Love the Heritage, I just bought the 107. You look at least 6' tall, how did that seat work out for you on the ride home? When i rode mine home was a 60 minute ride and ordered the Tallboy seat immediately. Stock seat was comfortable but it killed my tail bone as i was pushing towards the rear all the time. Also, i notice you had passenger floorboards on BB II. I'm still waiting on floorboard mounts from H-D for the 2018's. Wife not too happy about pegs.
Haven't tried taking the bags off yet, appears to be a little more hassle than my Road King. Will do soon however...
On my way of Braking in a new motorcycle, have had well over 50 new ones....a sickness, I know.........is to basically ride it the way I intend to ride it. After the first 50 or so miles and stopping for a Burger or so to let the bike cool down a bit then continue my ride giving the bike a full exercise but just not holding it up there. It seems to run better each time I take it out.
Truthfully, the Heritage with the great 114 is not as smooth as my '14 Road King was, but.....don't now how to describe it but I like it, cruise control on at about 70-80 smooth but you can tell there is a big manly throbbing V Twin humming along as happily as can be, but when asked to ....You sure as Hell unleash pounding Torque by the Bucket Loads.
All I know is that this new Heritage Classic is a much easier bike to live with, parking, backing up, slow speed maneuvering, Brakes, Suspension, outstanding Throttle control and on and on.
Very happy and completely pleased with this new bike, no regrets at all.
Perhaps a good description is a strong visceral bike in a velvet package waiting to be unleashed at your slightest command.
