Talked to my local dealer and they told me the order of release is in order of expected popularity. This is done to drive as many early shipments as possible for this quarter.
Fat Boy
Fat Bob
Heritage
Breakout
Low Rider
Street Bob
Slim
Deluxe
That's the order they were prioritized for my local dealer. I wasn't able to sit and test ride a Slim until 2 weeks ago. Hang in there, I'm sure it's coming soon.
There was an '18 Deluxe that I test rode along with the Heritage I bought at my dealer 6 weeks ago...I'm sure they're around. It was very nice, but I chose the Heritage.

I've been to 3 or 4 dealers in the last week and none of them have gotten a deluxe in yet. One of those dealers was in North Carolina, the rest were in Iowa so it's not just an Iowa thing.
It was damn good looking. It wasn't until later I got to sit on a Fat Boy or Slim...the Deluxe was the best fit by far. If I put the lower shock and bars on the Heritage it would sit the same....just don't want to lose lean angle.
