That looks 100 times better than the plate on the left side of the bike.
A bike like the Fat Bob with such aggressive styling "flows" so much better with the pate in-line with the rear fender.
Well done, sir!

Things I do not like...
Speedometer condensation with no fix is inexcusable. Not one of the Japanese bikes I have owned did this. Both the rear oxygen sensor and oil pressure sensor had to be replaced. Buzzing in the floorboards and handlebars at 80mph plus.
I do like the character of the engine and the handling very much, so I will probably keep it another year or two before going back to a Japanese bike.
Bottom line, the quality and reliability is too far behind the Japanese brands for me. The prices aren't competitive either.

Oh please. No motorcycle is reliable, or a good value, or fundamentally a good idea in any sense.
Freud was right, it all boils down to sex. Allegorically speaking, I dumped my neurotic chronically ill Japanese girlfriend for a rowdy whisky-tango POW who is smoking hot but drinks way too much. Can't say one is any more reliable than the other, frankly.

All you have to do is to read #1 and you'll realize the author is completely ignorant, not only about the new Softail line, but about anything to do with motorcycles.

LOL! You just may be right about the good idea or good value thing, but trouble free, reliable, design flaw free motorcycles do exist. They might not be smokin' hot, but they do exist.
