Has anyone put a shorter, lower backrest on their Heritage? It seems they would look a bit better without the tall backrest. Any pictures, as I'm thinking about doing it to mine and wondered what it looks like, and where to get them.

Harley Dealers sell different height bars. Go to www.h-d.com and look under accessories and apparel. Then look under Softail. Then look under "uprights" first for just the bar, or "backrests." They give list prices there.
There are three basic heights from Harley. You have the taller one as I believe come on all Heritages.
There are aftermarket bars available and you might try Ebay.
Before you leap, be aware that a tall bar is wonderful for strapping on luggage. If you ride solo you can put something on the passenger's seat and strap to that bar easily.
