Default Passenger pegs and true duals

Hey guys,

Fairly new rider here with a 2013 softail deluxe. Bought it this summer with just 218 miles on it and am loving it so far. Just turned over 1000 miles.

I bit the bullet and decided to go stage 1 for my Christmas present. Samson 30 inch cholos, arlen ness intake and FP3. I started the install last night. I am not handy at all. This is probably the most amount of wrenching I've ever done but excited to try it.

I pulled off the stock shotgun exhaust and of course the right side passenger peg is attached to the exhaust bracket. I'd like to have two passenger pegs installed JUST IN CASE I ever ride two up down the road. My question is What is the best way to reinstall the right side factory peg??

Read some stuff on here about mounting it directly in that hole by the pivot bolt. Will that work? I noticed that the left side has a small bracket that attaches between the peg and the frame. I can't find a part like that for the right side. Is it even necessary, or can I bolt both pegs directly to that hole in the frame? Sorry for the lack of pictures. If this is confusing I can try to take some pics.

I'm ok with spending a little money for new matching brackets if that is a better way of handling, but don't want to break the bank.

This forum has been a great resource and is one of the reasons I bought my bike. Thanks in advance everyone, and wish me luck on the exhaust install. It took me two hours to get off the existing exhaust so I may be in for a long weekend. Why the heck does HD need to use the dang torx bolts by the way.

Check with Samson, see if they carry a peg bracket replacement. If you told them what bike it was going on they should have shipped one with the pipes. Most do

I installed V&H dual's on my '15 slim...there was a hole in the exhaust mount for mounting the pass pegs but I didn't have them....when I installed a set later there are little plastic plugs in the swing arm you can remove an use to mount foot pegs. I'll try posting a pic an hopefully you can see it in the pic:

I had to get a long T-50 socket/bit to reach the bolt holding the mount on like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/TEMO-T-50-3...QAAOSwhqhaDgYN
