Default Just hit the 500 mile mark!

Was out riding last night (technically it was an extended smoke run) and my girl turned over her 500th mile! So glad initial break in is over with!

Had the new seat and security installed this past week. The seat is great! Its like a totally different feeling bike... feels like sex! But my turn signal on the left side is fudged because of the security system. Wont operate until a certain runtime has been met. It will work after about 20 mins.

My service advisor DID inform me of this when I picked up the bike and have an open appointment to bring it back next week and have it looked over and fixed.

Will be taking her out on the highway to strech out that sixth gear once I hit 1000 miles. Hopefully between now and then I have my stage one finished!

Well, that just about doubles the number of places where you can go faster than the law allows! Better get a grin guard, it's dangerous to smile as wide as you will be.

And, why are you waiting to hit a 1000 miles to drive it on the highway? Whoever told you is full of crap. To break in an engine properly, you drive it normal for the first 1000 miles w/o gettin' on it and using WOT. You have to need to go through all the gears to properly break it in.

Anyway...good lookin' scoot, man.

They told me yesterday not to take it over 55 MPH for the first 500 miles, not 1000. That's tough enough to do - couldn't imagine having to (try to)wait another 500!

They told me to ride it normally...just don't do WOT. I just basically rode it the speed limit everywhere I went and didn't ride it hard.

To each his own....
