My advice would be to buy the EASY BRACKET system, and that way you can remove them.

.

I agree, easy brackets are the way to go...
I agree, but I don't want to keep pouring dough into this deuce. Aren't they about $250?

I got the new bags and brackets thrown in with the bike purchase. The guy had never installed them. Bike is an '02 with 3500 miles and some nice chrome and stage 1. I don't want to get too deep into it because I think I want another Heritage or a Road King and I may be selling.

Already did, I bought an 07 Honda ST1300 (Sport Tourer).
Fast, nimble, great handling, comfortable, can haul lots of stuff, oh and did I mention FAST!!!
[sm=ttiwwp.gif]

So lets see a pic or two???????

PS At least you won't have to put up with an 07 Harley 6 speed sounding like it's coming apart, and maybe is.
Here you go. This picture was taken this afternoon.

I'm not sure I understand? We're discussing putting saddlebags on a Deuce. Any input about that is appreciated, imho.

Thanks J, it's quite the bike, fast, nimble, handles amazingly, eats up highway miles, stores lots of stuff , oh and did I mention it's FAST.

J - the comment was in regards to your "I may be selling" comment, nothing else friend. I can see how it wouldn't make sense if you don't notice the bolding I did to some of the words in your post. Sorry for the confusion.

Well let's please get a couple of things straight. "Might be selling" is a far cry from offering for sale. The bike is not for sale and I haven't decided. If I do, I'll advertise it in the proper forums.

My comment, in context, was the cost of ez brackets when I already have the factory ones at no extra cost. I don't want to put more money into the Deuce.

We were discussing pros and cons and cost is a legit consideration expecially if you don't know how long you'll own the bike.

I have a Heritage, a Wide Glide and this Deuce. I might wind up selling all of them and getting a newer Heritage. "Might" is the operative word here. Nothing's for sale. They are all paid for and I've been just as happy as a clam.

I just want to know how to put the saddlebags I already have on my deuce.

If you're the moderator for this forum your avatar area should show it, right? You would somehow ID yourself as the moderator to give your statement some authority, right? If you are, I hope we never have to refrain from mentioning that we "might" decide to get a new bike. I hope we never have to refrain from discussing legitimate cost factors which are involved in many decisions.

If you're not the moderator, imho you are WAY out of line.

If you're not the moderator, imho this comes under the myob heading.

If you're not the moderator, imho you have absolutely no business telling anyone what "has to stop," pointing excessive punctuation marks at someone, or swearing at them.

So I kindly return your remarks to you regarding your outrageous outburst and quote you right back: This has got to stop - what the hell is going on??????????

I won't comment further or reply to any additional drivel from you. Also, btw, I'm obviously not your "friend" as you called me. Don't wanna be...
