I put $9500. Knowing that's hi-balling it and , in reality , expecting ( hoping ) for a couple K's less . Buyer feels like they got a deal and I can live with it . I came up with that number because it's what I would buy the bike for myself...( the 75 not the 95 )if that makes sense...
9500 on a springer around here is fair. 2 dealer withing 25 miles sold 1 in the fall at 11k. Its also a horrible time to sell one.. IMO 7k is the soft blow it out number

You're only trying to outsmart yourself. Buyers know the bike won't sell for $9500 and aren't going to call you about it. Reasonable buyers don't want to insult you with a lowball offer (relative to your asking price) of $2000 less. They'll expect you to come down by hundreds not thousands.
Why don't you just list it for a reasonable price, say $7700, and when they call you about it you can come down $500 on the price. They'll still feel like they got a decent deal.
Do you want to sell the bike or not? Let me rephrase that. Do you want to sell the bike in the next couple of months when you can get $7000ą or sell the bike in a couple of years when it will be worth less?
Theres a guy in my area with an 81 FLH asking $9500, bikes been up for sale for over a year, I asked him if he thought he should lower the price? He seems to think it will be a collectors item & stands firm.
well see how that works for him? I know guys with Evo`s that think they`re worth a fortune too - they might have worth but not for the prices I'm seeing.
The used bike market is over loaded & GREAT deals can be had, maybe price it where it will get interest - but wait until Feb or March? as was said tax returns might help you. Good luck
I bought this 2001 chromed out Springer in April with a rare HD windshield and tons of extra parts such as seats and OEM wheels, etc for $5500. Never seen rain before I got it.
