No big deal here. Also, there are 2 versions of tab muffler styles for 2018 Softail - short and long. I have the long version -- replaces stock muffler for fat boy and others like it - fits with original heat shields. The shorts may (or may not??) be different.

Good point. I think my Heritage would use the shorts and no heat shield.

Hey there all, the tips are the same for both the long and the short. The short go for fitment on the heritage and deluxe with the nested mufflers and the long are for all other softail models (excluding Fat Bob and Sport Glide)

Thanks for bumping this as I was looking for the videos so I can compare sounds, even thought ,video sound usually don't do justice. I've been a Tab fan since I had them on my VROD. Right now I'm torn between these and the Rinehart's.
Unless I'm wrong, nothing will be EPA compliant unless you go with Street Cannon's.
FYI, I looked into the 3.5 Rineharts ........ They are too short for the original heat shields if you plan to use them. I want to use my satin heat shields because i like the look, but with the mufflers about an inch too short, they look like crap, so Rineharts are out for me. I'm going with the TAB Longs.
For those interested, here is a sound clip of the stock vs. all three baffle options on a street bob 107 as well as a heritage 114. It is mainly an install video but at the very beginning it is stock and then the TAB baffle options sound clips are at the very end.
