Thanks man! I'm loving the riser/bar combo I have now. There are quite a few companies coming out w/ new stuff. I'm really hoping someone makes a fairing soon. I've seen people swap to round headlights and adapt to older fairings, but I really want to retain my stock headlight.
Yes I like your fender mount plate a lot. I have longer fender strut bolts (provided by LeatherPros) that work with my saddlebags and HD holdfast setup. Would you provide new bolts w/ the plate kit, or is it something I'd have to source myself?
ok, spoke w Gary at LeatherPros on this, with our current plate bracket mount, using the HoldFast spacers you will need to request a set of 3" bolts from LeatherPros to make it all work, they have a special head on their bolts that are required with their bag design. If you don't have HoldFast their 2.5" bolt set will work with our license plate bracket kit. /// Eric
I'm a fan of those bags!
I'm not sure I'm ready to ditch the factory exhaust yet... I was thinking about going Rinehart Slip-ons, but that still won't get me those bags..
Thanks for this. Did you have to take it to harley to calibrate the abs? Or is it possible to replace the line without having to do that? Thanks.
Nope. I did the bleed myself using a Mityvac tool. The key is to 1.) do NOT turn the bike on from the time you disconnect brake lines to the time you're done bleeding the system and 2.) Overly bleed the system. You want to be 100% sure that there are no air bubbles in the lines. I pulled about 3 bottles of brake fluid through the system through both front calipers to be sure. Overkill? maybe ... but my ABS works correctly.

You sure about that? This is straight from Harley -
Postive. If you look at my thread you'll see why. I've spoken with many HD dealers over the US and they've all come up with the same thing.
I just saw your thread ... interesting to say the least. Why the hell would HD do that? Could you purchase the ABS brake like block and build a u-bent hard line to bypass where fluid would go to the ABS module?
