I know it sounds simple and believe me I have tried many
adjustment, seems not to be the problem. ihave a new clutch cable coming, what I want to know is why was there a popping news when I tighten the left rod inand could ihave damaged any part of clutch
I'll have to be honest with you; I can't follow your description of your problem.
The clutch adjustment is a pretty simple process.
Just follow the procedure in the service manual.
If you don't have a service manual then you need to get one.
Also, there are numerous youtube videos on clutch adjustments.
Perhaps one of those will help you.
As for the cable; if it's old then order a new one.
They are not that expensive and you don't want to be on the road when once breaks.
