Default 2003 FLSTF S&S Motor

Considering purchasing this bike. I have some questions about the S&S motor. Was it a factory option or after market? Mostly I want to know if it increases or decreases future values.

It's aftermarket. S&S motors never came on Harleys. They came standard on countless "replica" manufacturers like Big Dog. They are supurb engines but sitting in an otherwise stock Harley, will likely reduce its value, with the caveat that it was recently installed by a reputable shop, all reciepts present and it was a super high dollar S&S engine. Like, the motor alone costs more than the bikes asking price. Then yeah, it might give that example a slight bump in value.

In all honestly, unless it is a CVO or SE 2003 model, the value is not going to vary a whole lot anyway unless you are paying TOP, TOP dollar and expect to get that back again in a few years. If that is the case I think you will be disappointed no matter what engine it has. Personally, I would jump on an S&S engine and not think twice. They make a good product. If it was an Ultimia or RevTec, that would be another story.

I was not aware that S&S made a Twin-Cam B.
Interesting.

Interesting.
I don't think they do (I could be wrong) I assume it is an EVO clone bolted in it's place.
