Hey fellas, just wanted to get some opinions. I had my bike tuned with the PCIII. All the popping on decel is gone. My question is, on decel I get some barking or gurgling (can't really think ofa better way to explain it). As you can see, I have short pipes so I think this is normal, but just wanted to get some opinions.
Will probably add the Thunder Monsters very soon, b/c I want to deepen the sound a bit.
Mine sometimes pops on decel if I let off the gas suddenly while going fast. But, around 40-45 when I let off the gas, it "gurgles". I have the ThunderMonster baffles in mine and I love the sound!
HEY WARG PURPLE HAZE here, I like the pipes you have on your bike but if you ever change them give D&D Headers a try, you would pick up more H.P. & Tourqe but they are not cheap! But they are so close to us in FORT WORTH you could ride over and talk to them and find out all the SPECS and get a second opinion on your pipes and the sound they make, my S.R.T. 10 VIPER I put a x-pipe and MAGNAFLOW BULLETS on each pipe and cut off the resonators also so on loud side! But when I let off of gas fast and down shift it pops and gurgles I think any high performance bike or car will make noise when you decel fast, I had a Corvette and it did same thing but I would not worry about it unless you think its lean, LATER PURPLE HAZE.
Mine pops on decel something fierce (short pipes), but I may change the pipes soon, so I'm not having it tuned until I do.
From some of my research, I have discovered that most bikes with a tuner that pop usually pop because of a rich condition in open or short pipes. The way a custom tuner would get rid of it is to richen it up even more to drown out the flame/combustion in the pipes.
That may be your gurgling sound Warg...
