Default 2018 softail deluxe saddlebag install

Is there a special detachable hardware kit needed to install the HD holdfast sissybar and HD detachable saddlebags so I can run them together?

Holdfast hardware kit chrome: 52300378. See page 251 of the 2018 HD accessories catalog (https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...a-catalog.html) or here: https://www.harley-davidson.com/shop...ts-accessories Select 2018 Deluxe then "mounting hardware"

Same for the saddlebags. Find the one you want for the 2018 Deluxe then under "GUIDES" download the bag installation instructions.

There's four existing screw holes in the rear fender mount. The two inboard are for the holdfast kit, and the two furthest outboard for the saddlebags I believe. I've ordered my bags (90201555A) but they're back ordered until 5/18/18.

Default figured it out

Thanks for the input PA1195. You are correct on the holdfast chrome hardware kit. I have the same bags you ordered. To make them work together, I believe you will have to mount the holdfast hardware first, which I did while waiting on my bags. Best I can see is the mounting points are shared. And we have to use the new bag spacers/mounting points in addition to the holdfast hardware. This will make sense when you notice the 4 long screws and additional mounting points supplied with your bags. If I I am incorrect, someone please correct me. Thanks!

And thanks back for the info. If you get to it before me how about some pics and hints during installation for the rest of us?
