Default Looking for A comfy seat for 2006 Heritage to last comfy all day.

Hello, I have A 2006 Heritage with A stock Seat. I have had surgery on my left upper leg and the Stock seat has been Giving me Sitting bone pain.
I have set my Heritage up for solo, and are looking to replace the stock seat with a comfy solo seat with Lumbar support with the top of lumbar to taper to fender.
There are Many Brands to pick from, Some are click on it and buy it, and some are Custom to my fit.( Height, Weight, Inseam, and Riding position.
I like Russell's day long the best , but there is a big cost.
All inputs are welcome
Thank you,PJ

Brands range form
Le Pera Monterey Solo,
Saddlemen Dominator Solo
Danny Gray BigIST Solo
Muststang solo
Corbin Gunfighter Saddle
Mean City Cycles
Russell Day-Long
From Russell's but without back support, but can be added later,

this is my stock seat,

I have tried many seats on my Ultra Classic and my Road King, none match the comfort I get with an AirHawk. I have probably put 80 to 90 thousand miles on with it and I would never give it up.

I'm Glad you brought the Airhawk up.
I have a Airhawk, I used it going to Sturgis, It was great on that trip, cause I had a Sleeping bag as a lumbar and back support. ( ck photo out)
unfortunately long rides without the bag to lean on, The Airhawk rolls forward while braking, rolls back during acceleration, and rolling side ways on turns.

If I can make one suggestion, when using an Airhawk put in almost no air, literately a puff or two and that's it. If it is rolling on you, you probably have way to much air in it. When properly "inflated" you should only be 1/4 inch above the seat. Most riders I see have it grossly overinflated, which actually raises the interface pressures and dramatically reduce the ride comfort.

Thanks , I have done that, Yes Reducing the air did reduce the rolling.
As for the lumbar support from my Stock seat, The air ride does nothing for lumbar.
I appreciate your helpful suggestion.
I'm all set on getting another seat, Picking one out is the hard part, Just trying to set the bike up for a ride on the CA and Oregon hwy 1 coast to Glacier National Park, Going To The Sun Road,

Seems like Glacier NP is going a popular place to go this summer, I think you are the third member who mentioned you are going. I will be there with a riding buddy last week of July. We tried to get a room in Yellowstone but seems like the entire park is sold out for the summer.

Default Comfy seat

I went with Mean City Cycles and a Grasshopper back rest. I couldn’t be happier. The seat is now the most comfortable I have ever had. Price point is great. Beats buying a new seat and I retained the look I wanted. Defiantly worth the money.

Thank you oldtimer, I'm going to try my Airhawk and that grasshpper on some runs and see how my old bones like it. $90 bucks is not bad
The north coast hwy 1 to Glacier National park, ride will be coming soon .
Three of us were on our way to Sturgis back in 09, when we got to Wendover utah, that was our point of no return spot, We decided to go north to Glacier park and come home along the Coast hwy 1 south.
Best trip ever, it was even better that the sturgis trip in 2013. Both trips we got Rained on big time . LOL

I have found the Mustang Wide Vintage Touring to be the most
all day comfortable seat. I've had at least 6 seats on there (3 Corbin's)
With the backrest in place there is also plenty of lwr back supt. It's so
adjustable it's very easy to find the right spot for it.
(I only use it on long rides)
But also A-1 quality. It's held up really well. I bought it used (ebay) so it's
at least 10 yrs old.
I'm NOT crazy about the looks of the thing (even with the passenger part
removed, but I'm more set up for comfort than anything else right now
