Downshift Ping (3-2-1) HELP!!
I have a 2013 Fatboy (103). Recently, I began hearing a metal ping when downshifting into 3-2-1. I can do this within a 10mph range (30-20, 20-10, 10-0) and I hear the noise as the gear changes, then it immediately stops. I'm sure it has something to do with the gear change. My clutch cable only requires about 1/4" of depression to disengage the clutch and I suspect that is the culprit but I wanted to seek advice from the forum since the knowledge is here. I'm new to riding and I've had the bike for about a year now. This is the first time I've experienced an issue.
The ping is not the "thunk" when you shift into first gear. However it is similar, but a metal ping sound, when downshifting 3-2-1. Thank you in advance for any assistance you may provide!!
