I just picked up a 2018 FatBob 114 yesterday and am looking into doing Stage 1 upgrades. I had planned on doing exhaust, programmer, and intake but the dealer said that the factory intake is a high flow intake so I would not need to replace it. I usually take what the dealer tells me with a grain of salt so I figured I'd reach out to the group to see what your thoughts are. Do I need to replace the intake or will the OEM work?
I have a 2018 Breakout 114, same boat as you. Went with the Two Brothers Comp 2-1 full system and the Vance & Hines FP3, I can't see any reason to change the stock intake system on a stage 1...there were some flow tests floating around this site on the OEM intake, I remember reading the general consensus was it was more than adequate. (and personally I like the looks of it!)

Perfect! That's exactly what I wanted to know. Just curious, would you happen to know if K&N makes a drop in filter for it?

Yes they do. Part number is: 29400293
But it will make no difference. The factory filter is a high flow synthetic one anyway. I do have the K&N one on mine and the only reason to do it would be if you like that red colour (but the red goes grey after a short while anyway).

Are you able to wash and treat the OEM filter as you would the K&N?
