2018 Deluxe Fuel Guage Accuracy

Default 2018 Deluxe Fuel Guage Accuracy
Have found the accuracy of the fuel guage on 2018 Deluxe a PIA. Is this a common issue on HDs in general? I can fill it to the recess and it occasionally reads full afterwards, sometimes for a few minutes then back to just above 3/4. Falls pretty quickly to about 1/3, then sits there FOREVER eventually progressing to a low fuel light.

Yes. Something that will probably never be accurate from HD. Disregard it and always use your trip. 150-175 miles fill er up

It's the shape of the tank man.
And yes my18 FXBB is a ***** to fill full ,I rock the bike softly sideways with my right leg on the primary to get a bit extra in it.

I do not have this problem with my ‘18 Deluxe. My gauge is pretty much spot on.

My fuel guage is as accurate as the ambient temperature guage!
do they still put those on the M8’s?

Mine also seems pretty accurate and linear but i can never get more than 3.5 gallons in when the low indicator says I only have a 20-30 miles remaining. Better that way then the opposite though.

My 18 Fatboy is the most accurate of all the Harleys I've had since 83.

Different riding conditions can change your mpg on your trip meter ,,, I watch both but,I trust my trip meter better than the gauge...
