Inside the bucket is a thick rubber disc with threaded bolts coming out of both sides, but the bolts are not one in the same--they are 2 separate studs but designed to reduce the vibration but at the same time connect the inner housing to the bucket (If I remember correctly-it has been a while) I just replaced the whole thing with a single bole with thick rubber grommets between the 2 surfaces to give it some vibration dampening and a solid mount. Hard to explain, but not hard to fix with a little imagination.


AGAIN, I am assuming we experienced the same problem.

I have an '01 FXSTS, but never needed to open or take off the headlight. It's something I can keep my eyes on.....
