....whre can i get replacement screws for the torx head screws on the motor. i have been reading posts about stripped torx head screws and want to avoid any problems in the future. thanks in advance.
Have you done business with any of these companies? If so, I was curious what your take is. There is a pretty big discrepancy in pricing for the '00-'06 Softail engine kit between southcoaststainless.com and alloyboltz.com.
Not yet, but I plan to eventually swap out all the exposed bolts, nuts, and screws for polished Stainless Steel versions. Those were just a couple of the sites I found that can supply them. When I do decide which one to get them from I'll be sure to let everyone know how I make out for both quality and price.
MEan time try a search of the site for any mention of polished stainless steel hardware. There should be a couple or three threads on the subject to find.
These are a pita to get ahold of in Europe as obviously they are imperial as apposed to metric. Everything here's metric. So they charge a stupid premium for the imperial ones.
HD charge a laughable amount for them to over here.
Anyhow, point is, I had an idea, I basically went through all the stock stuff that I'd swapped out with chrome, accessories etc, and you'd be suprised how many stock bolts, washers and junk you have left over. A lot of the accessories come with their own bolts, studs etc. Kuryakyn is good for this too. ...... So you may wanna have a rummage through all your old stuff, it worked for me twice.
