Default HD poly riser bushings are now Alloy Art!

I was at my dealer yesterday gathering odds and ends for my mods. I was talking to the parts manager, when I mentioned poly bushings, and that I had to order some Alloy Art Gooden Tights (my favorite poly bushing, for years). He grinned and said “hold on a sec” and came out with a HD box. Opened it up and there they were. HD poly bushings are now repackaged Alloy Art Gooden Tight poly bushings. He said when he first saw them he called alloy art and they confirmed they are selling them to HD. Pretty cool. So naturally I picked up a set for my Fat Boy.

Just curious. Did they jack the price for the H-D packaging?

I can't find the receipt but looking at HD.com they look to be the same price as whats on alloy art's site, and about $5 more then the discounted sites. Not too bad, you can always find it cheaper somewhere...

However, now that I look at them, it looks like they gave me the touring set. Don't softails share the same bushings as dyna's?

Edit: Nope, looks like the 2018-19's share bushings with the touring models. Cool.

I put then on my 94 Softail. Really firmed up the bars and risers.

Why the change Mchad? You going to do something exotic? Or just want a firmer connection?

Just preference. Gives a bit more feel. I have a drag bar coming in a day or too and some 8" risers to start (see how much brake line I can coax out of it) which may end up as 10" at some point depending on how they feel. I've got 8" on my FXR, which is perfect for that frame, but every model is different so I got to experiment...

Naturally the taller you go, the stiffer bushings come in handy...
