Default Progressive lowering vs progressive drop in

when I purchased my bike the guy didn’t tell me it was lowered on the front end. I noticed it when I picked it up and asked him then he said yeah I lowered it. Cool! Other than the fact I already bought some progressive drop in springs. When I disassembled the front I noticed he purchased a traditional lowering kit, it has the small spring under the dampening tube and a replacement tight wound progressive spring. I’m completely rebuilding the front and have both kits. Pros and cons one over the other. I drove the bike 130 miles home the day I picked it up I did notice it seemed like it bottomed out occasionally. It could be bad fork oil low for oil I’m not sure but I’ve got a complete kit with heavy SE oil.

What lowring kit kit should I go back with?

Just a suggestion, have you checked into Progressive Mono tubes for your forks, actually puts a shock into the tubes. I have them on my 16 Deluxe with a 1 inch drop, much improved ride and handling, no nose dive during braking. Good luck with your project Ride safe.
