Default Simple Power Vision question

Hey, this is for you guys that run a tuner that stays on the bike. I got most of the complicated stuff semi-figured out on the Power Vision 2. So my simple question, which I can't find any info on, is: where do you guys rout the cable, the one that runs from under the seat, where it's connected to the ECM module, to the handlebars where the interface screen is mounted?

I want to mount the unit on the bike so I can use the gauges and do the auto tune. I don't see any good places to run the connection cable, with the hot engine in the way. Am I missing something? Or do you just run it under the fuel tank?

Thanks in advance...

Mine is under the fuel tank, just zipped tied it up. I dont keep the PV permanently mounted so just have the end in my windshield bag.

My Power Vision developed a crack and wasn't covered under warranty, so there is that, and I'll spare you the rant.

I use a Ram mount for GPS and just use that for the Power Vision when I need a tune. The back of the unit takes a standard VESA mount that Ram makes. I do NOT recommend using it as a instrument panel or even keep it on for an extended time. Run your wire from your ECM, over your tank, to the unit. Tape the wire down. Dial in your tune in then take it off, put it somewhere safe.

It is a pretty good system and from my limited experience a good way to go, it is slick. The tuning guys at the company were great to deal with and they were instantly on the ball with what help I needed, no complaints. Whomever is running the warranty part of it though........

On both of my bikes I run the cable under the fuel tank in the tunnel (along the top of the frame). Its easily accessible if you remove the rear mounting hardware and lift the rear a bit. It exits at the front and goes to the handlebar. This routing also acts as shielding to prevent interference from the ignition circuit (coil, plugs, wires, etc.).

No problems with either of my bikes. I have two cables and move the PV back and forth between the bikes.
