I pretty much do the same thing. If it isn’t in my pocket, it’s in the gran tour bag on my Heritage or in the tour pack on the RGU. The Bluetooth works fine on the RGU with phone in tour pack. If I need to make a call while on the bike, I’ll just pull over.

Yeah, if I didn’t need it for my navigation while working I would probably just keep it in my pocket as well

I never take calls on the bike, but I do use the phone for nav and (occasionally) music. Custom moulded bluetooth in ear monitors protect what's left of my hearing and let me hear directions and tunes.

If I don't need either of those, then the phone is in my pocket.

This $10 mount thread pushed me over the edge and caused me to spend $1300 on a new phone today. Thanks. I think.

Who in their right mind would spend $1300 for a cell phone?? I spent $250 on mine and felt like a sucker for a week. Even at that price I'd never mount it to my bars and chance it to the wind. I don't know how you guys see that little screen to use them for nav. Hell, I can't even see mine in the sunlight when it's in my hand.

yeah, my wife always asks me the same thing (how I can spend $1300 on a phone) It’s my portable computer and I do a lot of business on it including this post LOL. I stand outside in full sun and have no issue seeing the screen whatsoever. I have the plus version, I think the size is perfect for navigation. It’s also perfect for movies when I’m waiting for my wife or kids outside the store while their shopping 😂

I have a RAM mount as it came with my sat nav. I got the 'phone mount so I could look at the telemetry from my FP3.

After reading about all the RAM Mount thefts I quickly put that one off the list.
There is locks to stop bits being stolen by the casual thief.
