Good day all,
I just bought a 2013 softail slim and noticed the left side gap between rear tire and fender is smaller the right side by about 1/4". Has anyone noticed this on their softail or do i have a bent/ misaligned fender? My dyna seemed more even.

Congratulations on your new Slim!! Mine is a 2018. Please excuse the mud, I got caught out in the rain before this picture.
Thanks for the pic. Looks exactly the same. Must be for weight balance for the extra weight on right side of bike.!!!! I love the slim can wait to ride. Nice bars by the way

No problem vsick, Im glad it put your mind at ease. Yes, I love my slim. Definitely a fun bike to ride. I appreciate the kind words about my bars, I just had them done not long ago. They definitely added to the fun factor. Im still running the stock 150 tire. My local Dealer was trying to swap it over to a 170 rear we just didnt have the clearance on the fender. Im probably going to do the heartland 200 kit in the future. I ordered a ride wright fat daddy 50 spoke wheels. Hopefully they will be in in the next couple of weeks or so
Not sure if that was a question for me, but I'll respond.
I have a 2013 Slim, stock rear 3.5" rim with 150 Commander II tire.
Might switch back to a 140 when this one is worn out.
To each his/her own, but just an opinion, I do not understand why
folks buy a "Slim" and then switch out the entire rear for a 200+ tire.
Why not save alot of conversion work & just buy a FatBoy/Lo to
get that FAT tire look immediately. Rhetorical question, I guess....

I wanted to go the new Softail frame with the M8 (definitely a big difference from my Fatboy) I was looking at the new 2018 Fatboy and considered buying the 114 but the rear 240 back tire was just to wide for me. The slim was what I was looking for. The rear tire in my opinion is just to thin (kinda weak looking from the back end) 200 I feel would be perfect. It’s not too wide or thin.
Just my opinion though. That’s what I love about Harley’s, we all make them our own
