I took the bike to the dealer. Apparently there is a float in the fuel tank which was stuck and hence the fuel indicator was giving all kinds of incorrect inputs. They have cleaned it and told me the readings are now OK. I will have to wait for the next fill to find out since they told me to wait till the low fuel warning lamp comes on.
That's the new scam going... selling fuel loaded with air...Water in the bacon..Pink slime in your ground beef.
Fill it slowly and keep nozzle near the top. Heaven help you if the nozzle has one of those vapor recovery plastic parts on it.
Not sure what you are worrying about what others think. Have the jerks around here block the pump and walk in the store to get a cup of coffee and a donut before returning to the pump.

That’s correct. The problem was with the gas guage float. It was giving all kinds of wrong readings in the display. Once the dealership fixed the gas float, today I filled her up when the orange lamp came on and there was no problem. Now I have ordered for a Stage 2 kit which will take a month to arrive. Hope that wakes up the bike some more. Thanks for all the inputs.
Still don't understand why you couldn't fill the tank without "burping it" every 2 liters. It's not like the gauge float can block fuel from filling the tank.

Maybe the tanks are built differently for the non USA market.
Maybe the tank was already full when trying to fuel it but didn't show full on the gauge.
I've not fueled my new bike yet but on the Street Glide and every other bike, I didn't put the nozzle deep into the tank and can observe the fuel level when it got close to the top.
