While I've got a Road King - I'm interested in these as well...would love to see some pics of them actually on a bike - and or with someone on the bike & actually using'em to see what they look like. I know I have to get the extended when I do get'em...
I'd get the extended (Model 7841) as they have quite a bit of adjustment built in. Would be a shame to go with the shorter version, only to find they don't allow enough leg room.
Here is the extended version mounted on my FatBoy.
I have mine mounted so I can rest the heel of my boots on the upper portion of the floorboards, while the sole of the boot lays naturally on the peg. Between the floorboards and the cruise arms there is an almost unlimited of positions for your feet/legs.
Excellent product, rock solid since they mount to existing holes in the frame, andthey makelong range runs much more comfortable.
So do they mount in the center of the frame - or off to the side - like in front of the floorboard brackets? It looks like its a single bar that goes across the width of the bike?

I'll need to charge up the camera to get some better pictures, but they mount in exsisting holes on the down tubes. If you check out the down tubes on your bike you should be able to see the hole used on each of the tubes.
The 'center bar' is nothing more than an additional stability support, but it's not really needed as a mounting plate on each side bolts firmly to each of the down tubes. In fact, I know a couple of guys running the Mark 4's, and they didn't bother to use the center cross bar.
My inseam is 30" ( at least I wear 30" britches) I opted for the standard. It worked out well for me. Without a doubt one of the best mods I have done. Easy, straightforward install. (about an hour) The added comfort is really nice. I cannot recommend these enough. Money well spent.
