Hi folks, just looking to change my tires again, it'll
be my 4th set in 40,000 miles but thinking to move away from the white walls, any thoughts welcomed.
FWIW - I have an '07 Deluxe, bought it used. Currently have blackwalls and those ugly-azz 9-spoke 'wagon wheels'. Switching to 60-spoke rims and whitewalls. I had wide-whitewalls on my '05 and LOVE the look. JMHO.
Current bike has white walls....
Love em clean, hate them dirty!
With that said I like to ride my bike and currently I live in WA (we get rain).
So they look like chit over 50% (closer to 70%) of the time (I try to wash her as much as I can).
I am looking for black walls for the next set.
I had Avons on my Dyna, saw my ole bike at the Indy yesterday, tires still look good and the new owner has put some hard miles on them. Guy at work has them (Avons) on his Street Glide, likes them also. I do like the Dunlops that came on my 2005 Heritage, when I bought the bike last year it only had 8000 and some miles, tires were original, dry rotted and cracked, I replaced them with WWW Dunlops D402F & D40. Look at the Dunlop American Elite, those will be my next.
