Default New Seat - Just CAN'T decide......

I've researched. I've sat on both. I've price compared. I've had it........ I'm down to the Ultimate solo or the Mustang wide solo (79915). So as much as I hate to, I'm asking for some input. I don't see too many Ultimates on this forum but I have a few friends on Yamaha Road Stars and Stratoliners and they are very comfortable. I've also sat on Mustangs from Heritages to Road Stars. Also very comfortable.

What say you? And thanks.

Why not just send out your stock seat and have it modified? I've had 2 seats done on my Heritage Softail, Mean City Cycles did them for me. I did the Memory Foam mod, best thing that can happen to a stock seat. And whole lot cheaper.

I had that done on my last bike. They are awesome folks and the seat was great. The issue is that I need a backrest. The grasshopper I added works...... ok..... but mounting and dismounting is a pain and not.......elegant in any way, shape or form.

Thanks for the input, tho!

I'd be interested but the Mustang website says it won't fit Heritages past 2015.....

I’ve had Ultimate seats on several bikes, and my wife still has one on hers. By far the most comfortable seat I’ve had.
I’m not crazy about the way it looks on the Fat boy, or I’d have another.

I had the Ultimate on my F6B...comfy (and Pricey) but I liked it a lot. Nice backrest too. I can't compare it to the other you mentioned though- never seen or had it. I'm actually half thinking of getting one for my 2014 heritage, though the Mean City option is intriguing as several guys on this forum have been pleased with that.

I have had the Mustang with backrest on my Slim and now I have the Ultimate with backrest on my 2018 Heritage, Ultimate wins hands down.
I rarely use the backrest because this seat is so comfortable, the Ultimate folks are great to deal with and give you a 14 day free trial.
You can't beat that with a big stick.
