Comparing Slim S and the New FLSL

The 2018/19 will handle much better than the Slim S if that is important to you. I rode all the new Softail models and ended up with a Fat Bob because it is the best handling Harley I have ridden since my 92 FXRS. I was about to buy a 2017 Low Rider S until I checked out the new models, then it was a choice between the Sport Glide and the Fat Bob because they are the two best handling Softail models IMO. The Fat Bob won because of the 114 option.

I'm slightly biased myself, since I have 2015 Slim. I think the Slim S looks a lot better than the new M8 Slim. The new M8 Slim lacks the oil hard lines that were on the older models. Its kind of nit-picky, but I think the oil lines really bring out the classic nature of the Slim. I will admit that the new M8 softail line has obvious handling improvements. I just don't know if the handling improvement on the Slim would be utilized to the fullest, since the ride height is already pretty low. That's my $0.02!
