So I've developed an issue with my 2008 FXSTC. So recently I have had an issue where (sometimes) when I pull in the clutch while riding or coming up to a stop light/sign the bike wants to idle low and die UNLESS I throttle it a bit. A year ago I changed the pipes to Vance & Hines Short Shot Staggered, Changed the air cleaner from a Kuryaken(Or whatever the **** its called) to a Arlen Ness Big Sucker, etc. I recently changed the fuel filter to try and help diagnose this issue and I've sprayed carb cleaner on the IAC valve thing in the air cleaner which I have read about. Ive changed fuel types from regular old **** to some 91 Non ethanol fuel. The bike has a Vance & Hines Fuelpak FP3 as well. But Im still having this issue. Curious if its a fuel pump, regulator, or fuel lines maybe. Or something completely different. Any and all advice and help is welcome. I've read other forums and responses on similar issues, most say bad gas but can I really be getting bad gas that often? Been doing it for about a year. Shortly after I laid it down doing 25 around S corners which is why I changed my air cleaner, pipes, etc. But everything was fine just scraped up a bit so I replaced it. Possibly shook up something in the tank or hell I don't know just desperate for answers. 12500 miles on the bike.

All those changes you made. Did you re-tune it? I say that, I'm not a mechanic, I wouldn't even know if it has an ECU being an 08. I just know that everytime I read something about changing pipes, filters, etc. that a re-tune seems to be involved.
Seems like I read ŕ similar issue in one of the other sub-forums.
Here is the thread; https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...g-at-idle.html the OP had stalling while stopped with clutch lever in, a new throttle position sensor fixed it.
