Question about heritage
Hey all, how do I get these long bolts out? I'll post picture, it is a 2006 heritage with original bags on it, I want too take the passenger backrest off but have too take the whole bracket off, its held with the rear fender short bolt and then two long bolts that the bags were on, that run all way into the fender but dont have a nut or anything inside of the fender it is pretty well flush. If anyone has any info how to do this let me know, the nuts you see on long bolts are part of the bolt they arnt turning at all. Thanks in advance

I just did the same thing last week.
Just take a deep socket and unscrew the bolts. There is a U shaped gizmo inside the fender that the bolts screw into. If you're not careful it can fall out, mine did and I had to jack up the bike (effectively lowering the wheel) in order to squeeze my hand between the fender and tire to reinsert it, but it was no big deal. When reinserting the two rear bolts just put your fingers inside the fender to hold the gizmo in place.
