Default Mainshaft inner race too far on

So I took my bike in, from the pictures the mechanic sent me it looks like he put the race on the inner primary flush against the seal instead of leaving the 1/10 or whatever it is he’s supposed to in order to pull it off in the future.

Is that hat going to cause rubbing or just a pain in the *** to pull off next time I need to replace it?

Did you ask the guy that installed the race about this?
If you paid to have it installed, you should not accept it unless done properly.

Was a buddy of mine.

Im not concerned as long as it’s not gonna cause a problem.

If its it’s just gonna make it a PITA to change it in the future that doesn’t bother me.

You may want to have him re-do it. It's not uncommon for the races to walk on the shaft. If they walk toward the transmission it will take out the seal and be very difficult to remove. There is a special tool you can get that will help remove a race that has walked all the way to the trans seal. To use it you cut a groove in the race then the took grips that groove and pulls it out. Good luck. In my limited experance, the races are a bitch to remove and to reinstall. Doable with the right tools but not an easy job. The spec for my bike was .100 to .125 gap. I could not install the race any farther than about.130
