I don't have any servicing history YET in the M8 versions but for my twin cam versions, I used a good typical 10W-40 (non-energy conserving) in the primary. I found that and good precise clutch adjustment made neutral not quite so elusive.

Hello, Im not at home to see what kind I bought but doesn't Harley have a Vance and Hines oil. I walked into the store to change the oil on the whole bike and that is what they recommended. Now that I think about it I dont think I told them I was doing the primary cover? Is that as issue? Thanks
