Default BigBore Upgrade?

Just picked up a 2007 Deuce. I will be adding a D&D Fatcat exhaust , stage 1, with cert and dyno. Any sugjestions on a bigbore upgrade. I have modest goals. I want to meet or break the 100 hp 100 tq mark. I don't need to have the fastest bike out there, what I really would like is a setup that will be practical and reliable. How much extra time do bikes spend in the shop after preforming these upgrades? I see kits from 103 - 107 as direct bolt on. As for the power the reason i'm looking for at least 100/100 is i want to keep up with or beat my firends VTX-1800. That way I can take away his last braging rights!

Maybe do a search "dyno 103." I've seen a couple charts, not quite 100/100.

With the 96" motor a little headwork (street port) and a cam and you'll be there prettyeasily. Andrews 37H would be a good choice.

You won't get there with the big bore kit by itself (in the process of doing the same thing). To get your HP that high you've got to start modifying compression which the big bore kit by itself doesn't do. As was mentioned, some head work would be the key for you but you start trading some reliability for HP at that stage. I used to ride a VTX1800 and I agree, the high end "umph" of the 96" isn't quite there comparing the two, but at the same time I don't want to be sitting on the side of a road somewhere with what was a 120/120 engine before it blew. Tough trade off.
