One of my wires that attaches to the rear break light switch is broken off as per pic. Figure if Im going to fix might as well add some inches to the wires as they are just right to fit on the switch does any one know the gauge of these wires cant

Why didn't you just ask what gauge wire to use in the original thread you started on this exact subject ?
Use 18 gauge wire. Solder the splice and wrap it with heat shrink tubing.
