Good Morning All, so I have a question, I recently changed the plug to my headlight
with one from the local hardware store. Now when my light comes on my Hi beam light
indicator on the dash is on and when I switch to the actual Hi beam light on my control
switch my passing lights go dim. Do I need to do a hard reset and disconnect the battery?
TIA

I can't help you with the high beam light indicator. But, it is normal operation for the passing lights to turn off when the high beams are turned on. You can rewire the lights or purchase a wire harness to have the passing lamps stay on with the high beams.
Check your connections on the new plug, I'll bet you either swapped something or it was wrong from the factory.
I've had to swap pins before due to the new light socket being wrong.
