Some time ago I bought a sissy bar and back rest and side plates from a member here. The main reason I wanted them was for the Quick detach side plates for my 07 Heritage.
I bought the hardware kit I thought I needed. Part # 53931-0A
and the side plates from what I can tell are part # 53815-00A
the problem I have is the side plates dock on the very front and very rear bolt that goes in the strut. and the saddle bags attach on the very front and middle bolt that goes in the strut.
so I either have one or the other but not both...seems odd to me.
I am just about to modify the detachable side plates I have now to make them work if I have to.
im wondering if there is a detachable side plate that has the notch in it for the middle bolt but im not finding it on the MoCo site.
other than the adjustable backrest angle plates which are like $240 which im not paying that for
Not sure of the part number as I bought mine used off of a local CL ad. Mine is an 09 and should be the same part. I looked it over real well but no part number visible.
