ive had todd's strip bars for my ape days now for a few years. ive had 17", 14", and recently bought a 10" gloss black set and realised that they are too narrow for me, so the cost of getting this wrong, being in Australia, meant shipping was $130US, the bars were $297, our government tax us 10%, so all up about $500USD...only to find out they arent right.
so i searched the interwebs for a 10-14" set that, had a droopy grip like the strip bars, but the curve of the nash cycles pudgy gimps and i found a company in Australia that makes them out of stainless steel. The problem with the pudgies was that the droop wasnt enough- im not a fan of the elbows out ape hanger style. in addition to that, after finding the nash's i found some not so great reviews of them which made me not want to chance it.
Whilst tic tacking over my design, we came up with these., i chose the ones on the left, at 14", but it wasnt an easy decision as the ones on the right retain that retro styling that i was after. i feel that z bars and even the todd's bars are too architectural for my taste.
im posting it here as i think they are unique, and offer something different and at least by my reckoning, better looking than most of what's out there, for a more than competitive price too..they make some off the shelf bars also for around $200US.
