I am just finishing up a handlebar swap and when I connected everything and when I turned the bike on none of the left side controls are working, turn signal, high beams, or horn. Though the turn signal is getting power, it lights up but the switch won't engage it so it's only working as a running light. Any ideas? The connector clicked in so I think it is seated properly but I will check that first tomorrow, though the turn signal wires go to a different connector which seems odd that that wouldn't work if it was the connector not seating properly.
Need more information about your "handlebar swap" ... did you run internal wires ... did you need to shorten or lengthen the wires ... if you simply changed bars and kept stock length on the wires, you should have been able to do the swap without unplugging the wires ...

Start with checking the lighting fuse. It's possible that with the wiring repair, a wire may have become open, which would blow the fuse.

Thanks, after work and after the kids go to bed tonight I will go out to the garage and try to work through possibilities. I will be sure to check the lighting fuse, if it's blown what should I look for? I'm assuming if it's blown just replacing it without fixing whatever blew it will just make it go again, right?
I will of course also check the connector. I read something online about someone with the same problem and it ended up being the control board. Is that the circuit board inside the switch housing? Electrical is not my strong suit, I know just enough to get myself into trouble.

Replace the fuse. If it pops right away, you know you have a hard short. Did you have to extend your wires? Typically the wires get pinched in the clam shell where the clutch lever and handle come together. if it is a hard short, you need to isolate the effected wire.

I did extend the wires. I got wire extensions with the extended cables from Magnum, so they plug in to the stock cables. The turn signals didn't need to be extended as they aren't stock and when I replaced them before I made the wires long enough to accommodate this future handlebar job.
So the fuse seems to be fine. I pulled apart the hand controls and don't see any pinched wires, and I pulled the wire connector apart again and everything seems to be in place just fine. What else should I be checking?

No none of the switches in the left housing work. So no horn, high beams, or turn signal. Though the light is on for the turn signal so it's getting power but won't flash when you push the button.
Is there a common power or something that would effect all of them?
That is the side that I pulled most of the way through and my pull cord broke when it was almost all the way through so I had to pull it back out and back through again. So it's possible that I damaged the wires but what are the chances that none of the wires work?
