Question 1988 rear caliper

G'day Fellas.
I needed to remove the rear wheel so proceeded to remove the rear caliper. Removed both bolts but the caliper would only move up about 1/2 inch. No amount of wiggle or prying would move it.
Any suggestions?
Cheers

Maybe take the top off the master cyc. Or at least loosen it.

I would guess you need to push the brake pads back, I would open the bleed valve and push the ears of the pads back by hand, if you have to use a tool (screw driver etc) be careful not to ruin the caliper housing or
gouge the rotor. Good luck, Ride safe.

Thanks Fellas.
This is a new bike for me (1st HD). The wife let me buy it to replace the 3 bikes (and house & shed) we lost in the fire on NYE (Conjola Park). My original job was to replace the starter relay. Got it sorted. Bolted it all back together. It had no pedal so I tried to bleed it. Couldn't get any pedal so removed the master cylinder. Full of crap, no fluid was getting to it. Cleaned it all out and was able to get a good pedal and all works well, able to lock the rear wheel at will. I am going to order kits for the master and caliper so will need to remove it when parts arrive.
I thought maybe the spring clip had moved and jammed it all up. I tried to push the caliper in to push back the piston to give it room to slide up over them. Still no go. I'll try again.
Cheers
