Default Floor Boards on Night Train - Is It Possible?

Can floor / foot boards be mounted on any Softail model?

I would like to mount floor / foot boards on my 01 Night Train. May not look the best but it would make for more comfortable rides.

Anyone know?

Did you consider heel rests? I took the floorboards of my springer classic and went to forwards. I'm going to add heel rests shortly. That will give me some options for moving my feet around a little while riding. Sorry I can't help with floorboards but I would think there's an option out there.

I have heel rests on my Train. I'm very comfortable with them. Floorboards. to me. always seem to be at the wrong angle for riding, braking, or shifting. But thats just me. The heel rests "feel" pretty much the same in general, but you can change the angle about any way you want. I like my toes pointing up.more. Also, you can ride with your heel actually on the rest, or move your foot back(down) half an inch so that your sole, just ahead of the heel, is on the heel rest, which changes the angle of your foot (or ankle) a few degrees. I find this to be a real benefit when I start to feel antsy in the pants from sitting the same way for too long. Relief. I have Arlen Ness 3" extensions on my controls. Hard to see in this picture, the heel rest is just below the two stainless bolt heads that mount the extensions to the frame. See if you can find someone who has either of these mods and see how they feel. Mine had the heel rests when I bought it, I added the extensions. The extensions made a huge differance. I'm 6' , 210 lbs, 59 years, in other words, old and not to limber.

In my last post I should have said the heel rest is between the two visible screws that mount the extensions to the frame. Ernie

There are floorboards available to mount on your foot peg mounts. Check with the J&P catalog, Jireh, etc.
