Default FLSTF Rider's Essentials Kit

G'day All,

About to purchase the FLSTF riders essentials kit and was wondering if anybody else has this and if they could tell me if you need to order anything else that is NOT included with the kit? I thought I remembered hearing that you need to move the blinkers (turn signals) back or something to that effect when you put the detachable sissy bar mounting kit on? Because I live in Australia I wanna make sure I order everything I need in 1 package.

Any help greatly appreciated.

DeanO,

I have the detachable sissy bar, dont know if the blinkers were moved as I ordered it when I ordered the bike. Can tell you though that it is **** easy to attach and detatch the sissy bar with this set up. Takes all of about 10 seconds.

Howdy,

Yeah it looks like it would be easy to clip on / off. Do you have any photos of yours WITH the sissy bar on?

Also I think I asked you this already but can't remember your answer... I know you told me u lowered the back, but did you lower the front of your bike as well?

Thanks,
DeanO

do not purchase that pos kit

the only thing worth while... is the f'n stupid belt buckle

the windshield is way to large for a kickn fatboy and if u modified the front end with aux lights or nacelle.. it wont even fit anyhoo
the detachable sissy bar and pad are nothing special.. and the rack... why bother, if u want them pick n choose ur own..
u get a cover for the bike.. with a big HD logo on it.. which screams STEAL ME...or LOOK UNDER ME.. worthless
u get a set of turn relocation things that most likely you wont even use.. depending on the bags ur using.. because they arnt for bags.. they only for the detachable sissy

Waste of a grand of us dollars

Yeah, they almost talked me into that one when I bought mine, but when I added it up it just didn't jive. I ended up getting the parts I wanted (sissybar, windshield, rack), rather than what they wanted to give me, and paid less.

They do use the relocation kit... it changes the mount base from a wide, oval-shaped spacer to a longer, more narrowround stem.

My friend Vertigo, always the optimistic... [8D]I have to agree with him thou.

Yes you have to relocate your blinkers if you want to use deatachables. The rest of the kit I recomend you purchase separately.

Mimo.

DeanO,

I have the detachable sissy bar, dont know if the blinkers were moved as I ordered it when I ordered the bike. Can tell you though that it is **** easy to attach and detatch the sissy bar with this set up. Takes all of about 10 seconds.
Next movie: Gone in 10 seconds.
