I got the QD with fork clamps, but my issue (with many others) was head buffeting from underneath, now I rarely ride with the shield, only for long days (above 600Km/400Miles days) so I don't care for the looks. what I did is I attached two pieces of plexiglass I did buy from Home Depot to the bottom, check my thread here
