I just ordered a set of Thunder Monster Baffles for my 03 SE-Deuce. The person I talked to at their office said that the pipe they did the most R&D on was the V&H Big Radius....and that the baffles are giving a small HP gain, while giving a much deeper/louder sound......exactly what I am looking for! All that and I got my FuelPac 90% dialed in.......I'm happy!!!!
BTW: Does anyone here have any real world experience with the Thunder Monster's???
Just bought a pair, and just took them back off. I have a PCIII, and the fuel mapping was way off after putting the TM's in. I like the sound, but did not want to pay to retune my bike just for the baffles. I will hold on to them and may add them back if I retune for other reasons.
I got the BC monsters in my SE2s. It is loud but I like it that way. When I want to sound off I can. There are bikes out there that are much louder than mine though. At bike week 2007 in Myrtle Beach my bike was no where near as loud with the Big City Monsters than the other bikes around me. Now by saying that the other bikes were just way to loud. On an open road or neighborhood my bike can be obnoxious if I punch it. The bikes I am speaking of in Myrtle Beach are obnoxious period with our a throddle roll.

I have TC's, absolutely LOVE them. They are LOUD. But loud is all controlled by the rider. Chugging your bike around at low rpm's makes the sound level very reasonable. Drive down a desolateback road and feed your bike a "snack" and TC's will blow your head apart! I didn't notice any difference in performance from my V&H baffles to the TC's. I also had no map issues with the FI. I am running my suggested V&H big shot staggered with bafflesmap and my bike runs perfect.

I have them in my Big Radius. Its louder but not as loud as open pipes. I called Jamie at Fuel Moto and told him what I was doing and asked him if I needed to re-map. He told me I should be fine. I have had them in for 800 miles and have had no issues.
I have a set in my V&H Straight Shots. They're LOUD, but deep and rumbly too. And as long as I don't open the throttle too much, I can cruise in my neighbourhood without waking the dead. That said, no matter how little I open the throttle, everyone around hears me.
I can immediately tell when a rider has open pipes. They emit that "crackle" when hard on the gas.... I also laugh because that guy thinks he is so badazz, yet he is also loosing a lot of power with no baffles.
TC baffles are as close to "drag pipe" soundas you can get without the ear splitting noise......
all in all I hear FAR more wind noise that I do my pipes. I have been starting to wear ear plugs when I know I will be doing high speed longer rides, and they are awesome!
